Tom's Thoughts

Movies are my thing. I've researched, studied and enjoyed movies for 40 years, and now I am ready to write books. My first book will be about Oklahoma movie theaters, with an emphasis on personal stories. If you have a story please email it to me.

My thoughts about Elaine

My wife, Elaine, and I joke around a lot. She will say that she is s&s (stinky & sweaty) and I tell her she is s&s, but my s&s stands for sweet & sexy. After that I tell her that she has this cute laugh and she tells me that she loves me and that I am crazy.

We are each others soulmates. And I know this because we have everything in common that couples should have. We bought a beautiful house and a brand new van. I think if we didn't have all the nice things that we have as long as we have each other we have all that we need. I hope I don't bore anybody who reads this. Even though not too many people have been logging in to read my thoughts.

My colonoscopy

My wife Elaine gave me one of the best 50th birthday present,a colonoscopy. She told me after it was all over that I had her rolling in the aisles and hopefully not knocking over any of the nursing staff. I don't remember my debut as a standup comic. She thinks that I should have another one so she can video me and keep my drugged out state forever.

The great silent film comedians

Most critics always put Charles Chaplin as the #1 silent comedian, but I always listed Buster Keaton as the greatest silent comedian. And also besides Harold Lloyd and Harry Langdon I would like to add Stan Laurel who I think is more creative than Chaplin. With Laurel you just see how funny his gag is and with Chaplin you can see how his gag was constructed and you can see the genious in his gag.

Movie going stories

I am looking for stories about your movie going experience. For example my Father told me when the movie Tulsa (1949) had its world release and all the stars of the film, Susan Haywood, Robert Preston and Chill Wills were there. So if anybody has any stories please email me or post.
